Essential oil diffuser bracelets are just the thing to keep you stylish and stress-free pretty much any time of the year, but they can be especially effective when daylight hours wane and darkness descends far too early.
Because I don’t know about you, but my mood and patience level decline (which is probably putting it lightly) when I can no longer get outside after 5 PM. The things that I typically do to keep stress at bay are that much harder to do because there are literally less ‘available’ hours.
I am therefore always on the lookout for innovative ways to reduce or manage stress during the Winter months. So when I learned about natural lava rock, I had to start playing around with designing essential oil diffuser bracelets. These are the perfect accessory because they are not only super stylish but have a sensory component once you add the essential oil(s) of your choice.
Essential oil diffuser bracelets are doubly fun because they serve both an aesthetic and functional purpose. There are so many natural gemstone options – which in and of themselves have different meanings – that the design options are limitless.
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite types of things to make!
Diffuse These Essential Oils To Reduce Stress
The only problem? I have very limited knowledge about the various essential oils and their purposes. I know how to use them with the lava rock: simply add a drop of essential oil to the rock(s) and let it soak in overnight then wear.
And while I can do a search on Pinterest and find some beautiful graphics about specific oils, it’s even better to get advice from an expert.
So I asked Jill Wiley, a Wellness Advocate for dōTERRA, to share her insights on the best oils for stress reduction.
She explained that “essential oils can help balance your mood as well as calm, yet sharpen your mind. There are a wide variety of oils to choose from; but Balance, Serenity, Frankincense, and Wild Orange are four of the most popular for these situations.” She provides more detailed descriptions below.
Balance (aromatic description: airy, fresh, sweet, woody)
The Grounding Blend can promote a whole body sense of relaxation. It may help ease anxious feelings and evoke feelings of tranquility and balance.
Serenity (aromatic description: airy, sweet, warm, powdery)
The Calming Blend can lessen feelings of tension and can calm emotions. It can create a perfect escape with its calming, renewing fragrance.
Frankincense (aromatic description: airy, warm, spicy, clean)
Frankincense can promote feelings of relaxation and helps to balance mood. It can also promote feelings of peace and overall wellness when used aromatically.
Wild Orange (aromatic description: airy, sweet, fresh, citrus)
Diffuse for an energizing and revitalizing aroma. Uplifting to the mind and body.
These oils can be used individually, paired with another or mixed & matched in any way!
