It’s Time For A Giveaway! Enter Cash For Christmas 2020

Cash for Christmas 2020 is here!

This yearly event always promises great prizes and this year is no different. The Cash for Christmas 2020 giveaway totals $675 and will award gift cards to six winners in a variety of denominations.

Even better? The giveaway ends just in time to support your holiday shopping.

Fabric Can Be Your Best Friend For DIY Gifts

Along with the giveaway, I thought I would share some ideas for easy DIY holiday gifts.

After all, it’s never too early to start making gifts for the holiday season.

I typically like to have a variety of small handmade gifts ready just in case I need something for a white elephant exchange, a hostess gift, or a teacher appreciation gift on the fly.

Fabric is one of my favorite “go to” materials when I make gifts because it allows me to semi-customize a gift.

I can easily pick a theme that works with the person’s interests because there is such a big selection of novelty cottons available at a reasonable prices.

This also means I can make something that could would be a fit for almost anyone. Sports teams, animal prints, and patriotic fabrics are typically very popular for any age.

Here are some small gifts to make with fabric:

Reusable snack bag or sandwich wrap (pictured above)

Reusable snack bags and sandwich wraps are not only useful gifts, but they are great for the environment because they reduce plastic waste.

The reusable snack bags can also be used as a small toiletry bag in a pinch!

It’s a simple sewing project that requires the same three materials: cotton fabric, ripstop nylon, and hook-and-loop tape.

You can therefore make some of each in the same sewing session and make a couple of sets in less than an hour.

Fabric key fob

DIY gift fabric key fob

Fabric key fobs are more than just a holder for keys.

They also make great zipper pulls for a backpack or duffel bag. Or, you can use them on a suitcase zipper to locate your bag more easily when it’s part of a crowd.

Fabric key fobs are a scrap buster too!

To make fabric key fobs you need: 100% cotton fabric, interfacing of your choice (either fusible web or something more stiff), and key fob hardware.

I purchased the key fob hardware on Amazon*.

Fleece neck gaiter

Finished DIY fleece neck gaiter

For people who love cozy winter gear, a fleece neck gaiter is a quick, easy, and cost-effective option.

You only need a 20″ x 20″ piece of fleece so the remnant bin should be your friend (especially when fleece is already 50% off during the holiday season).

Another reason to actively check the the remnant bin this time of year? You can often find licensed sports and character fabric at really great prices which will help you mark people off your list quickly.

DIY Gifts And A Giveaway Are A Glorious Match

I hope these DIY gift ideas have been useful and wish you the best of luck in the Cash for Christmas 2020 giveaway!
